Stealth attack
« on: May 08, 2019, 11:42:05 AM »

Are stealth attacks only by melee weapons ? It seems so considering my log.
Are there accuracy / damage bonuses ?

Per the manual:

Quote
Sneak Attacks
---------------
Melee attacking an enemy that has not yet noticed you gives a base hit chance of 120%, and a +100% damage bonus which stacks with any momentum bonus. Sneak attacks work on any non-fleeing neutral targets as well, since they don't expect you'll suddenly attack them!

Hehe, if you can't find any more info on a particular topic via stat-based context help, always check the manual :) (also, although it's available in game, opening manual.txt and doing a ctrl-f might help find specific things more quickly)

That would be too powerful since it's already extremely easy to attack unaware enemies, and being able to do so from any location would just be overkill. You can already get an edge by increasing your visual range and using long-range kinetics, or some type of sensors and firing through walls--no need to make that even more effective!
