Hostiles Upon Immediate Level Load

While technicians aren't combat units, they do spawn as "hostile."  This one managed to disable the terminal it spawned next to (under the tooltip) before I got a turn.  I also attached the score file for the run.

Looks like this was the level that gave me my first upgrades.

Operators are not normally subjected to the "no combat robots within sight" rule, since they always spawn next to their Terminals at the start and aren't placed via the normal method (since they must have an associated Terminal).

I don't think I'd want to consider this something that needs to be changed, since they don't fight you, nor does their report cause an immediate confrontation.

What is a problem is if you are immediately spotted by combat robots like Grunts or Swarmers on entry.

Uh oh, another of your screenshots which I inexplicably cannot open, even when viewing the original source ;)

But anyway, all I need is the depth and map name to quickly find it. I'll check it out :D

...from the gray-ish pixels I take it that's the Factory? (Though it looks like you're down some integrity; does that mean you're coming back from Waste? If so I'd need to know where that original entrance was, too, since you don't return to the same map...)

Oh, the Mines... Thanks for taking the time to let me know, but that doesn't count--hostiles are allowed to spawn within view in non-standard branch maps, e.g. the Mines (and, rarely, Waste, and in the future the Caves and possibly a couple other places).

Sorry I forgot to mention that. I believe it's been mentioned in another thread where this topic came up, and I thought I'd said it here...

Where it definitely should never happen is in the main complex (or Storage).
