you could set the map-height-and width in the cogmind.cfg
but thats not what you mean right ?
and point 4 and 5 you could also start in one line, for example:

wine start /unix /home/user/Cogmind-Alpha10/COGMIND.exe

I tried to find out were the seismic anomalies come from,
hop into the caves in -7 and...they did not let me find out.

fix:

pacman -S lib32-alsa-plugins
mkdir -p /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/alsa-lib/
ln -s /usr/lib32/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/alsa-lib/

ok. plan was to enter the party with an heavy build-up.
with beautiful treads and so on...had to change to plan B
because found of better parts for that. the B stands for flyin'!
but entered completly naked that everbody was able to see my big fat core..

Did you already try to start as root ?

Just to exclude permission-issues like i had

sry, i mean targeting walls...
with mining laser, wieding torch ...special weapon.
for example:
i could wield mining laser and assault rifle and dont have
to turn off assault rifle in front of a wall when i would to use
the mining laser and then on when im ready.
 i could simply press ctrl+shift and cogmind
use only mining laser. so it is with normal melee weapon too.
it woult practical for all special weapon also data jacks imo.

...ah and good lore-hunting now with this funny lore-diary on 9

and i dont played alpha 8 & 9 and heard the atmobackground in the

Hey Chad, maybe it is a permission-thing.
i had to change the permissions for the user
here for the first time in the Cogmind-history.

When i was logged in as the root/admin i had no issues,
logged in as user with all the root-permissions i came in trouble.

then i saw that all files are own by the root and the group root.
simply change the group-owner from root to user for every file in the Cogmind-folder was the solution.

my suggestion just to be sure, log in as root/admin and start. just to exclude an permission-issue.

no crashlog because no crash.
cogmind runs very well and
to make sure i installed the hotfix too...
that is not the problem...its a permission thing.
but its still weird because:

when i play cogmind as an user with all (root) rights it
gives me not the sheets..
when i play as root (what i defenitv not want) then i get it.
i never had this problems before...but ok
for now:

sudo wine start /unix /...


*edit
change owner from root to user for every single file...now it works like day one.
what happend, that was never necessary before ?

wine start /unix /...

NOT A BUG ...will you delete this ?

it's not possible to recieve these sheets at alpha10.
i downloaded after august the 10th ...and till alpha9 i also had no problems.
is this a bug or i oversee i anything ??
i only have linux this time...pls help.

here also -6.  i tried a straight run to the surface,
no mines, no caves, no storage, no extension
just level to level. but thats not so easy anymore...
in -6 i didn't want find the access...
branches yes but no access plus
i came in a chute trap and i lost all my parts...
back and half of my core lost - all starts again but against me.
so we have factory - waste - factory aka -6-6-6 --> next time <--

ok. my idea was to install botnet-trojans into other machines than
terminals to have more chances to hack for more important things at the terminals.
with a huge botnet in background. especially for the levels -7 and up.
my biggest botnet was linked with 5 terminals and this was luck imo.
of course there are plenty terminals outhere but in the upper level
im happy if a hack works anyway^^

the new wiki-section is what the cogmind-wiki has needed.
i have some more hacks are missing there but im unsure to add.

and i dont like the name for the section..top 10 hacks...
"hacks they don't want you to know about!" seems to be entirely sufficient.
because now there are more than 10, i have 15 now...and the future will also brings more.

because i tried a lot of hacks and none with succsess :D :D

 i would like when we could use all other machines than the terminals
for a botnet too.

...and i have my own little cogmind-hack-wiki with 14 unauthorized hacks in it.

fresh from work...i try to remember.
After the trojanfail the Garrison-Terminal locked down.
Beside this Garrison was a grey strange Construction and i looked
with x and the infoscreen said it's a Terminal. i pressed d (for eventually deeper info) and crash.
After the Crash i directly run to this Garrison to find out what happend...but nothing. The Terminal was
total ok and green...and nothing crashed. weird. (and on win10 no linux this time)

Today my game crashed and i don't  know why !?
Alpha_7b-Hotfix is installed. Was in -10 and discovered round about 70% of the lvl.
Than i tried to reprogram a garrison but the hack failed. Besides this Garrison was
a Terminal i wanted to research (x, d) ...than crash. no save and new start at last savepoint,
in this case the beginning of -10...hope you recieved my crashlog.

...i came till to the surprise at the end of the caves. defenitiv vistit again.
and yes sensor arrays and singnal interpreters but both improved does a good job here.
plus improved terrain scanners not bad at all in here imo.

kyzrati please look in my scoresheet at prototypes. it says prototypes(23).
now scroll and look at the prototype-list. when you count manual you can only
count 21!? not important but a littlebit wierd..bug ?

what a trip...sad to say that one of my good old friends stopped me.
