This week's seed: Recycling Vacation


The Weekly Seed is open to anyone. High scores are not the only feature of the runs and the main reason for putting this together is to share our experiences, stories, and tactics over the course of your run.

Rules are as follows:

* The Weekly Seed begins from the date this thread is posted and lasts about seven days.
* Make sure you are running the correct version of Cogmind (see thread subject).
* Enter the seed and abort your current game to initiate the seed (more details are below).
* Verify you are not running the tutorial and that the screenshot below of the Scrapyard and Level -10 matches your seed
* Play through the game once. This is a friendly competition and we are all honest people.
* When finished post your scoresheet here (it should be the newest file in /scores) and any other screenshots/stories/strategies you wish to share with the community.
* Due to the spoilerific nature of this thread do not read the comments if you are intending to participate and haven't played your run!
* Any scoresheets submitted after seven days will not be included.

Press F1 to go to the MENU, select OPTIONS, select Seed, and enter this week's seed:




Select GAME, select ABORT:




If you have followed the steps [Manual seed applied: Recycling Vacation] should display in the log window.

Died right away with score 530. What a bad seed.

! Now I'm even more eager to crush this one ;). I'll be streaming it, though I haven't yet decided when. Probably mid-next week.

first i want to say that the change of the weapon-time-costs are great.
also the a...all together it's more fun to play without going to be easy.


Spoiler: Weekly Seed #Recycling Vacation (click to show/hide)...and suddenly Cogmind stands right in front of an Extension-Access-Point. And of course i went in to explore. first a transfer-station, were some u's and r's jump out...and also no enemies, whats goin' on in here ?? than a terminal, a hack for branch-access-point. now i know that we got only ONE of that. one access (labeled Cetus). i look on the map and see the this access-point is miles away from me...so let's go.
but after some doors a heavy beast stands in front of me. i duck back and decide to go another route the exit. a new terminal comes in view, but this one controls only a door. so we hack it and the door's open. and now i begin to notice that the Extension-Branch must be a kind of jail or something, cause i free a T5-YGP(g) and he was very happy and welcomes me with the word "Free at last". ...who knows how long he was arrested in this 1x1chamber. ...he comes with me but we found no other route to the exit and have to pass the beast. but than a second beast plus an carrier wich drops its load. two hunters. after a heavy lost of my parts i decide to run...but without any coverage you are aloud to run round about three moves.
