typos:

instead of "go the offensive" it should be "go on the offensive"

instead of "as long as properly configured" it should be "as long as it is properly configured"

Ideas / Abbreviations in part names

A lot of parts are abbreviated eg: hpw.  hyp.  rnf. cld.  however I don't know what they all mean.  Is it possible to have the full name in the item stat panel?

I was in recycling and I rewired some architects, who then assimilated a spotter.  When the spotter is set to explore the game freezes.  I have gotten this crash to repeat three times now, no crashes so far when the spotter is set to follow.

Strategies / Basic Question and Answer thread

This is a thread where simple questions can be asked if you feel the question doesn't require a thread of its own.

I have some questions of my own:

What is the relationship between me and my allies?  I have gathered a group of non-controllable allies and they don't block my movement, they seem to be able to fire their weapons without hitting one another or me, yet my own volleys will hit them. 

Sometimes when I am not flying and I am in a 1-wide corridor, non-flying worker bots seem to travel past me.  Sometimes they will turn back the way they came, however.  What is happening here?

I hacked the location of the exit, but the stairs weren't shown on the edge of the screen like other hacks, such as machine locations or worker bot locations.  Is there a particular device I need equipped to enable this, or do exits not show up like that?

I was in the mines area, got the game over screen and I pressed esc to quit.  Next time I opened the game it loaded me at the point where I had previously died, with 0 core integrity.  I was able to continue on until the next hit ended the game again.  I haven't been able to reproduce the bug.  This is alpha 1b

I'm not surer if the alternate start is a bug or intended, but whenever it occurs I encounter a bug where selecting the option to quit and delete save doesn't result in a deleted save.  Deleting all files in the /user folder returns the regular Revision 17 start, however the non-deletion of savegame continues.   Reinstall of Cogmind returns the Rev 17 start scenario and also functioning quit and delete save, until the alternate start occurs again.

The only modification I have made is to run the game as administrator (win 7 pro 64-bit), if I don't run as admin the game won't save my configuration options.

I have included a picture of how the alternate start looks.

The options menu reverts to default each time the game is started, also the item compendium resets on start as well.
