Challanging level
« on: May 30, 2015, 07:19:24 PM »

Entering new level, first thing I see is this:

Should I take it? In general, there seems to be no "minimum distance" between entry and exit, I encountered exit stairs quite close to the starting point before. Is there a reason not to take it? Stuff, sure, but there will be better stuff upstairs.

I have a similar screenshot stashed somewhere. In my experience, this only happens on Materials levels, and the close stairs are only ever to Mines or Storage. I don't trust close stairs. This also holds true on Factory - if you find early stairs, 85% it's a broken staircase.

Biomatter is right.

Those stairs will almost definitely be Storage or possibly Mines.  See if you can get a few weapons first and then I would take it.  But I'm a risk-taker from way back :)

Thanks, guys.

Now when I think of it I do remember that those close stairs lead to mines last time.
And yes, I probably should look in nearby room to pick up a gun or two.
