This was my first victory. It was in stealth mode. Access exit to surface is well protected and my last three successful runs which ended up at -1 were stopped right at the exit. The solution this time:
Warlord's tinkerers presented me with some Vortex technology based cannons. In firefight during defencse of the base I missed badly and hit the heavy blast doors. That entropic cannon just broke through two squares of heaviest reinforced possibe thing like it was butter! Impressed I saved one until the very end so I could reliably get in. Plan was to approach from terminal side but to ignore the machine and make big gaping hole in the blast door instead. No weapon at end log because having lots of core integrity I "tested" it at one of colossi there.
Zipping around very fast is quite fun but one should be wary of swarmers. These can be outrun too at speed 10 but a strong explosive launcher is a good option too. A rocket launcher allowed me to fight everything in lower caves without taking a scratch.
