Hi, first post here.
I actually bought cogmind not so long ago. This week's seed run was only my 8th game, and my best, at 3319.

I had read a few guides before the game and tried to apply basic advices like "Stop hacking when detected", "Try to position correctly before fighting", etc. and it definitely helped.

Quick summary (with probable spoilers): I had a hard time finding a stairway out of Materials-10. I tried east, found mining equipement and a lot of hostiles, retreated west, found mostly dead-ends, backtracked east and finally found stairs. I was not very happy when I realized I got no upgrade because I was in the mines, but I was immediately met by a derelict that showed me the way to Zion-7. The peace that reigns there is relaxing. Friendly bots everywhere, talking to me. A "philosophical" experience with the Imprinter that makes me feel like I'm the Chosen One. Unfortunately, with no upgrades, I could not grab much stuff before moving. I climbed stairs that took me to Mine-like-6 (quiet) and then Factory-6, where I met quite a lot of hostiles. Even with my two new friends, I didn't last very long. We got some of the hostiles down, but I lost all my equipement and died a painful death.

I might have been too aggressive, but I didn't find a way to avoid being spotted. Interesting run anyway.
