What a run!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So here's what happened.
I was running a pretty standard leg build and I worked my way from materials to factory as usual, but I got swarmed by soldiers and sentinels at -6 and was completely stripped, but I made it! Alright, so I make it to -5 and I start building another leg build, and it's going pretty well, right? Well, you may notice that my peak state is most certainly not a leg build, but a heavy tread build, and by that, you may be able to infer that I got stripped again. What happened is I ran out of matter and into a beast. So I'm a naked core again, running away like the little not-beast I am, but I stumble into a chute trap. "Aww man," I thought to myself "Now I'm gonna have to deal with compactors." But something was off about these wastes... There were no compactors! After a bit of exploration, I found a little alcove in the wall. After searching it I found derelict weapons and concluded that they must've cleared the place out and made it into an outpost. I picked up the weapons as well as some treads and antimatter cores from the compactor corpses and got back to -5. Now my biggest priority at this point was finding an exit so I could get my badly damaged and corrupted core fixed up. Of course, I'm a very distractable person, so every time I pass a door, I have to check to see if there's anything valuable in there. This wastes a lot of time and presents a risk. I fell to the latter. I opened up one room, but instead of finding valuables, I find sages. For the record, I totally could've handled them if my core health wasn't at 114, but it was. The End.

Moral of the story? You can find new parts, but not a new core, so just get to the exit already!

Seed is impossible, too many characters ("HypervelocitySurgeInterprete") is the closest thing you can use... should I use that?

Update

I manage to use that exact sed via. editing the config file.
Made it to 2nd lvl XD. I died to pesky swarmers.

Ha, I don't believe we've encountered this issue before :P

Technically the random system avoids creating anything that couldn't be fully entered back into the seed system, but our intrepid weekly seed creator has been making up new combos on his own without actually entering them into the game to see if they fit in the entry box :P

Moral of the story? You can find new parts, but not a new core, so just get to the exit already!
Oops xD. Exits are almost never behind doors like that so yeah you've discovered the importance of focusing on exploring corridors when you want to get out :)

Damn, seriously? I didn't know this was possible :D

Indeed, just leave off the 'r'. I can hardly change the seed now, so deep into the week!

Hehe, yeah I gave the window a width limit and matching text restrictions, so that you can always see the full contents. The game itself throws out any random seeds that are too long to fit there. (The player name entry has the same limit, too.)
