It seems I got this achievement even though the Saboteur did succeed (destroying itself in the process). See screenshot.

Ah yeah that's normal due to the way death code works. You were the last one to attack it before it essentially killed itself, so you got the credit for the death anyway. I'll look into making some changes there and seeing what else that might affect.
