The screenshot explains it best. Out of curiosity I tried to access it and got negative reply despite I think "Command" as a query target also exists. Suggested solution: get rid of self-referential link altogether.

Yes, Kyzrati. I am talking about cases where corruption has wiped your knowledge of rocket launchers yet you are gifted one in unknown launcher "form". Unlike the case with repair station outfitting you with unknown item is obvious bug the gift being identified is partially dubious. Cogmind now realizes this is a rocket launcher but should be still unable to look up its damage ranges or other parameters because it has gone missing. However, the player often will know all that. My argument comes from gameplay perspective, asking to suspend realism here and go with what is more fun for player.

DDarkray, I have absolutely the same problem with Storm Laser! What is more when I actually do run a tank and choose to visit this place (mostly I decide against - there are not enough volatile targets in caves to sate my thirst for pretty ASCII explosions) and succeed (might be forced to turn back or get destroyed) the Derelict offering it just does not generate. As much as I want to learn its vital properties I cannot support you on this, because playing with Storm Laser should really be a kind of reward unto itself. Really sorry!

Yes bottom right. Who would guess a deceptively simple looking button would be so tricky to replace. Almost makes me want to suggest using dirty smelly hack like using <Fn1/?> or <F01/?> or <F1  ?>. Thankfully I resisted.

New in Alpha 14:
NEW: ESC key access to game menu disabled by default in keyboard mode (can allow by setting allowEscMenuAccessKeyboard in config.cfg, or just use ?/F1)

When escape key is currently disabled please replace bottom left prompt which flashes for news by <F1/?>.

I just entered storage and there I see Y type robot sitting on a throne while green area scan is a progress. Wow, a special vault or rare content! Animation finishes and the green Y on a black square turns into black Y on a yellow square. A mundane recycling unit? Bye, bye excitement.

Mostly concerns Mines where players may be gifted mining lasers and rocket launchers by Derelicts who openly talk about what they are going to gift. Then I pick up unknown special melee weapon while perfectly aware what it is.

Also would like a certain other derelict who nonchalantly drops a grenade launcher drop me unknown launcher in that case.

Have a look at attached screenshot. I know I totally demolished the nearby area during my fight against an assault squad but what the U-05 team did in response is just jarring. Yeah, they all open together.

Very strange! If you say it's AI's programmed attempt to confuse Widmo as punishment for creating too many reports and its not a bug I will totes buy it.

I think this is worth a mention. Cogmind bugs affecting only Linux do get fixed.

Congratulations on squashing this bug! What I find best about this story is a hard proof Cogmind really does have Linux support. This is the first commercial game where I witnessed developer fixing a bug specific to a platform they do not target with ports.

Yes, exactly this. It seems I have provided way too much context to the report which has made it unclear. Still did not get to test it because whenever this happened to me in last run I was in middle of aiming at same target. Will keep an eye on this.

As of Alpha 15 random traps are blocked from spawning too close to your point of entry in a main complex map.
Hurrah! Do we get to know how close is too close? Is it like ~5 tiles or something greater?

On a quite fortunate (or so I thought) day I fell down a chute trap ending in waste scenario where a group of derelicts has already destroyed all compactors (yay, free heavy treads!) and took me for some Warlord emissary. I took them back to factory.

After the very first step on that floor most of my allies were dead as armor screw.

I believe same thing will happen if you do the experiment in empty room and alternatively target two opposing corners. When corruption kicks in the sequence would be broken.

Going to test as soon as my Cogmind finds some shock traps.

Yep, was lots of fun! The loadout was almost as dangerous to myself as it was for my enemies. It did tend to single shot security class bots by critical meltdown fairly often.

Yeah, pretty weird. On the other hand this might be hard to notice even in relatively safe situations, like removing the only storage to attach a signal interpreter for stair identification purposes. All other utility were occupied by hackware, so this was the only way to "spend" an interpreter without damaging other processors. After getting stair read out I tend to simply attach the storage unit from floor and scoop up everything before vultures smell the loot without paying much attention.

The situation that made me notice it was a fight in Storage where I dropped a storage (duh ...) unit in order to replace it with armor piece because grunts were incoming while I was low on core. For evulz the armor piece just had to end up right below the storage unit, making me frantically search believing Cogmind just ate an item like that. After winning the fight I was almost wrecked and played very attentively which made me realize what was going on after collecting the storage unit.

Definitely yes. If there is no trivial way to fix it dedicating time to searching for a solution would be wasteful.

Keyboard only mode and depends on right timing.

Find a robot. Bring up its display and scroll down to its components. Open specific component display but quickly cancel it with escape before the animation finishes, then scroll one step down. The cursor will move down but immediately go back up. It will be done only once. My guess is the other window which was closed before it managed to open tries to reset cursor position for some reason. Timing is very important here. You may need to try several times before you nail it. If you cannot let me know and I will try making a short video.

Warning, this is Alpha 13 finding. I have been unable to reproduce it in Alpha 14.

Having equipped my tank with quad improved spread lasers I enjoyed melting many things. Somehow I must have made a recycler reach boiling point despite it is so fragile and got two messages in log it is overheating and its temperature display confirmed critical heat level. It did not move on its turn (still had a wheel) but did not flash red either.

Have full inventory and drop your storage, making the game automatically drop excessive inventory. Turns out the game first drops your inventory and then places your storage unit directly underneath yourself, thus making two-item stack at your position. I would expect such action to just overwrite items but surprisingly everything works if you pick things up again.

Does Cogmind support stacked items internally by chance?

Keyboard mode problem. Happens most often with single weapon firing. In presence of enemies I shot at a reactor and succeeded in destabilizing it. Good, explosion will take care of those swarmer bots. Time to switch targets. *kzzzt* Corruption cancels volley. Then I hit fast shoot button twice and unintentionally fire at the reactor again.
