The spoiler-free "Survival Tips (https://www.gridsagegames.com/forums/index.php?topic=1687.0)" section towards the beginning of the in-game manual (also included as manual.txt (http://gridsagegames.com/cogmind/manual.txt)) is recommended reading for new players who are having trouble. It'll get you up to speed and vastly improve your early-game survival rate.
